Quick answer: what is the difference between an armoire and a wardrobe?
The words overlap in everyday use, but the useful distinction is height and intent. A wardrobe is full-height and organised around hanging clothes; an armoire is a freestanding cabinet, historically shorter, that mixes a short hanging section with drawers and shelves and is meant to read as a piece of furniture in the room rather than as built-in storage. In practice you choose an armoire when you want folded storage and a usable top surface more than you want another metre of rail, or when the wall you are furnishing has a window in it and a full-height cabinet would block the light.

Will it fit under my window?
The Loft is 1200 mm high, and a standard Singapore window sill is 1300 mm or higher, so in most rooms yes with room to spare. Measure to the underside of the sill, not to the glass, and allow for a curtain that falls below the sill if you have one.
Can I use it in a hallway or living room?
Yes, and a good number are sold for exactly that. At 500 mm deep it works as a hall cabinet for coats and shoes, and the acrylic doors keep it from reading as a bulky sideboard. Pick a solid or frosted panel if it is going somewhere visitors see, and specify the frame finish to match the rest of the room rather than the bedroom.
